P11d Dispensations
Did you know that if you pay business expenses to any employees or directors you should have what is known as a P11D dispensation? No? You are not alone. In our experience, many companies do not have one in place or if they do it is generally out of date.
If you don't have one you should be detailing all the expenses paid to your employees on forms P11D at the end of each tax year, only for them to then claim it all back. Again this is a very pointless exercise but if you fail to return all expenses and you do not have a dispensation you could face fines of up to £3,000 per incorrect form.
